Only three more days of school until break. Next Tuesday, we're silvering some bottles, re-doing the penny alchemy lab that we did in general chem (turning copper pennies into "gold" and "silver" ones. Or exploding them, if you can manage it while the teacher's not looking), and making liquid nitrogen ice cream. I have my project for chem to present on Monday and two math projects due on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. And like a bazillion tests and quizzes. Always trying to cram all the work in right before we go skipping away to forget everything we've learned so far this year, aren't they?

Eragon got a D+ from our local reviewer, and today I overheard another senior telling our security guard about how he had gone to see the movie and thought it was the worst he'd ever seen in his life. Yeah, I'm rooting for it to fail.

The coyote that had been prowling around here recently has died. Behind our garage. Charming, that. At least I won't have to put up with the cat yowling at me all day because he wants to be let outside while I can't let him for fear of him being eaten.

Pokémon Battle Revolution looks awesome. I'm working on finishing the egg quest on XD so I'll have the lucky egg to help me finish training my team to port to D/P as soon as it comes out; wi-fi battling yay!

I haven't been able to find any good books to read around the house lately, and so have been just rereading some old favorites. Here's hoping I get some good ones for Christmas...

Bahaha. The anti-eragon community has been buzzing happily about that lately. xD I was hoping the kid would finally see the light, but apparently the excerpt from the next book is worse than ever. Oh wells.

*shudder* It's almost painful to imagine that series going downhill. I really don't resent them for being bad books--there are plenty of those, just like there's lots of badfic--but the way it's been so over-hyped and attracted a following of rabid fans just ticks me off. The thought that the fans are going to be all squealing over the brand-new incarnation of terrible writing ticks me off, especially when so many good books really don't get the attention they deserve.

Hehehe, don't ask, but the couple of bad reviews I've seen for Eragon make me want to see it more. xD I have this strange urge to see just how bad it is.

Yeah, I'd totally go see it... if it were free. I don't have the dough to indulge in a really bad film.

However, one of my friends is a real big Ineritance fan (*shudder*) so I might be able to mooch off him when it comes out on DVD.
